"WE HAVE ENTERED THE LIGHTENING PHASE; IT'S TIME TO SHIFT INTO OVERDRIVE!"
The last few days, I have sensed ashift. I have received clarity of direction and definition regardingassignments the Lord has given, and a resurgence of energy bringing strengthand courage for obedience. As I began seeking the Lord, I heard two things backto back: “We have entered the lightening phase,” and “It’s time to shiftinto overdrive.”
When I hear Holy Spirit speaking to mein unfamiliar terms, I know that there is something significant He wants me to hear.Initially I assumed “lightening” meant letting go of burdens and weights andbecoming more filled with light. Over thelast few weeks, the Lord had been emphasizing the importance of staying focusedand alert, abiding in Him, not taking the bait of offense or going intoagreement with evil reports, thereby allowing darkness to dim His light.
"The lightof the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body alsois full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full ofdarkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be notdarkness." (Luke 11:34-35 KJV)
I felt Holy Spirit nudge me to do someresearch. According to Dictionary.com, lightening is also a medical termused to describe one of the last stages of pregnancy, when the head of the baby engages in the pelviccanal! This quickened me, because we are in a birthing year, and this confirmedwhat I had been sensing in the recent shift.
There is a birthing that is comingforth of what the Spirit of God has conceived, and in these final stages oflabor it is critical to keep Christ fully engaged in our lives as the Head, toshift as He leads, yielding completely to His direction, and let the Spirit ofGod navigate for the birthing to come forth in His perfect formation andtiming. He will bring those things to birth that He has begun in the Spirit!
"Who hathheard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bringforth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Ziontravailed, she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the birth, and notcause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shutthe womb? saith thy God." (Isaiah 66:8-9 KJV)
Ilooked up the meaning of overdrive and found that it is agear in a motor vehicle providing a gear ratio higher than that of the drive gearor top gear, so that engine speed and fuel consumption are reduced in highwaytravel. Overdrive is actually thehighest gear of the transmission, but it uses less fuel and reduces strain onthe engine. Merriam-Webster gives a second definition to overdrive, as being astate of heightened activity.
We are in a time of heightenedactivity in the spiritual realm of both light and dark forces. We can’t affordto get distracted, give place to the enemy, or to spin our wheels in the rut ofreligious formulas. I was reminded of the final stages of labor when it is easyto become exhausted by exerting too much energy too soon, when resting up forthe final push is critical! I sensed the Holy Spirit saying, it is time toshift into overdrive - the highest gear – where all that we do is by theleading and power of His Spirit. It is a labor to enter into and stay in thatposition, but provides the most peace and the least physical, mental, and emotionalexertion!
"Thereremaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered intohis rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let uslabour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the sameexample of unbelief." (Hebrews 4:9-11 KJV)
Labor to enter into the rest that Goddesires us to birth from; let the headship of JESUS be engaged in all that youare birthing for the Kingdom. Shift into spiritual overdrive; the highest andmost efficient gear!
I am hearing, “Be alert and aware; sense My movement and allow Me to move you into lightening. You will receive clarity and definition in areas that have been obscure and shapeless. For the hour is at hand for the birthing of My Kingdom in and through your life. There is a heightening of activity in the spiritual realm, and you are seeing manifestation in the physical realm. Your body and soul will want to respond in familiar ways, yet I am saying shift into overdrive – the highest realm, where you are at rest and in peace, and My highest thoughts and plans will be made known to you by My Spirit. For this is the time of birthing a mighty move of My Spirit that cannot come forth in ways known to the mind of man, for the NEW THING that is coming forth has not yet been seen. Allow My Spirit to fully lead, give My Son the full governing authority over your life and your ministries, and His headship will be engaged fully and perfectly in position to birth what I have purposed and bring forth My Kingdom.”
