I AM FANNING THE FLAMES OF PRAYER ALTARS AND BRINGING INCREASE TO THE LAND!
Duringworship at an intercessory prayer gathering recently, I had a vision of a cityat night. Then I saw some of the houses with what looked like containers offire burning in the middle of the house. Next, sparks began flying from thehouses and spreading over the city. I heard the Lord say, “My house shall becalled a house of prayer. I am fanning the flames of prayer altars in homes. From these home prayer altars, my wind will send sparks throughout the region. These sparks will begin to ignite a hunger in the souls of those who havefilled their lives with other things. Those other things will no longer satisfyand the hunger will grow, and they will begin to cry out for Me. I will answerand fill them with a strong awareness of My Presence that they cannot deny andthat no other source will satisfy. My heart will begin to burn within you ingreater measure for the harvest. Your prayers will have greater authority inthe spirit realm, and you will be sent forth to encounter to those with hungerin their eyes on the streets, at work, in stores, throughout the places of yourtravels. You will pour into them what I pour into you, and fires of revivalwill be birthed and spread throughout the land.”
I shared whatI saw, and prophesied what I heard, in the prayer gathering. We all began to smellsmoke in the room, but there was not a fire burning in the house. The manhosting the gathering went outdoors to see it was coming from somewhere else inthe neighborhood, but there was no smell of smoke outdoors.
I borewitness by the Spirit that it was a manifestation as confirmation from the Lordthat this was His word, and that He is bringing an increase to faith as we actin obedience to build prayer altars in homes. In many regions, there arecorporate prayer gatherings, but I hear the Lord saying that He is breathingfresh fire on home prayer altars. There will be many supernatural signs thatwill be manifest from these prayer altars.
"AndDavid built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peaceofferings, and called on the LORD; and He answered him from heaven by fire onthe altar of burnt offering." (1 Chronicles 21:26 NKJV)
The Lordwants His people to gather by faith in their homes and break out of routines, roteagendas and formula-led prayers into the freshness of His leading by the HolySpirit. This is a new season and the Lord wants to do a new thing; we cannotrely on yesterday’s way of doing things to bring something new! There will be agreat multiplication of your faith by this act of daily sacrifice untoobedience.
I hear theLord saying do this and trust Him with the increase. His heart is grieved thatthere are still so many who only want “leaders” to tell them what to do, andnot seek His face and hear Him for themselves. Holy Spirit is even now drawingyou closer, you feel a stirring within you to build an altar and see what Hewill do in your midst! Be the bold one and take the step forward; invite othersand see how God moves among you!
Many of youalready have dedicated prayer times; it is time for increase. We are in a newseason and the old has passed away. It is time to re-dedicate ourselves toprayer in our homes, not just the corporate gatherings. Our prayers arise asincense before the throne of God, and there is a response from heaven as wededicate ourselves to prayer.
"Nowwhen He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-fourelders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full ofincense, which are the prayers of the saints." (Revelation 5:8 NKJV)
"Thenanother angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He wasgiven much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saintsupon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of theincense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel'shand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, andthrew it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and anearthquake." (Revelation 8:3-5 NKJV)
In 1981, I wasunsaved and living in gross darkness. I received a supernatural visitation fromthe Lord, and in one night experienced repentance, salvation, healing anddeliverance! How did this happen? My mother and father were praying on theirprayer altar. I was 3,000 miles away! Holy Spirit entered the room and in an instance my life was forever altered. From your prayer altars, many lives will be altered! As we seek the Lord in obedienceand follow His leading in prayer, the souls of those that are ordained to comeforth in this season will experience a drawing and hunger, and supernaturalrevelation of the reality of the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not despise smallbeginnings; for where two or more are gathered in His Name, Jesus is in themidst (Zech. 4:10; Matt. 18:20). Prodigals are coming home; the harvest is ripeand laborers are being sent out!
Jesus saidHe came to send fire on the earth, and that He wished it were already kindled(Lk. 12:49). He quoted the prophet Isaiah when He said His house shall becalled a house of prayer.
"Eventhem will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house ofprayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon minealtar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people."(Isaiah 56:7 KJV)
I hear the Lordsaying that He is fanning the flames of our prayer altars because He wants Hislove in us to burn hotter, consuming all that holds us back from Christ beingfully formed in us and released to break the bonds of wickedness, set the captivesfree and bring forth the nations for His inheritance. There is a continuance inprayer that is required – standing firm in faith that what He has promised willcome forth. Those things that areseemingly distant and far off, shall come forth in an instant!
I hear theLord saying that prayer – our consecrated sacrifice of time (putting to death ourfleshly desires that are at enmity against His Spirit) - for the prize of truerelationship/Oneness with Him, brings the birthing of the promises…the fruit thatis our reward for planting the seeds of faith in the womb of obedience.
By faithAbraham obeyed (Heb. 11:8, 17-18). Hefirst went out on God’s word without knowing where he was going, leaving everythingfamiliar. When he received the promised son Isaac, he was obedient when Godtold him to offer him up, and received the greater fulfillment of the blessing.
"Was notAbraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on thealtar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by worksfaith was made perfect?” (James 2:21-22 NKJV)
Faithwithout works is dead. By our works (obedience to what God tells us) our faithis made perfect, or complete, i.e. bringsforth to birth what God desires. We cannot complete in the flesh what was begunin the Spirit. We have to move forward in cadence with the Holy Spirit bringingus fresh revelation and strategies to bring forth the Kingdom on earth as it isin Heaven. We cannot rely on our own understanding, our formulas and naturalreasoning, our agendas from what worked yesterday. It is time to move into thenew day in the power and leading of Holy Spirit, birthed out of the intimacy ofprayer in His Presence.
There hasbeen great warfare against the release of this word. Even as my husband and Idetermined to strengthen our prayer altar, and establish the new for the freshwind to come, war broke out. Let me encourage you; as we were diligent to beobedient and pressed through the discomfort of transitioning, over a short 10days we began to see increase of authority and many breakthroughs into newground for ourselves and for those Hehas brought into our path for ministry. Demonic strongholds have been brokenand captives are being delivered; thewind of Holy Spirit is fanning the flames and consuming all that is not of Him!
I clearly sawthe vision, heard His word and it was confirmed with a supernatural sign. Yet itwasn’t enough to just believe, therehad to be action of obedience. The Lord keeps bringing to my mind a picture ofa family from long ago, before radio and television, sitting together in theevening by candlelight, reading the Word of God and praying together. I am hearing His heart, weeping over Hispeople, as we are given over to great distraction and busy-ness. Jesus weptover Jerusalem, for they did not know the hour of their visitation (Lk. 19:41-44).I have rarely felt such a strong hand of the Lord on a word that He gives me. Godis faithful to fulfill His word as we step out in obedience! There is a strongmove of God ready to burst forth; as we build/rebuild prayer altars in ourhomes, putting ourselves on the altar as sacrifices before Him, He will fanthose the flames and bring forth the increase!
“Yes,” said Jesus. “But God will bless all who listen to the word of God and carefully obey everything they hear.” (Lk. 11:28, the Passion Translation)
