HIDDEN TREASURE IN THE MEASURE – CAN YOU FIND IT?
Holy Spirit has been reminding me of some significant dreams and words the Lord has given me in the past that are very timely, and He has been impressing upon me that these are paramount for Kingdom fulfillment.
At the beginning of the Hebraic year 5782 (September 2021), I shared a word that this is a year of awakening, arising and advancing, and part of that was advancing to build the house, or dwelling place of God. What the Lord has been speaking to me in these last few weeks are keys for building by design – according to the Book. He unfolded the reality of “Hidden Treasure in the Measure.” Let me explain.
STIRRED TO BUILD - BY DESIGN – According to the BOOK
"For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, [let us use them]:…” (Rom. 12:3-6 NKJV)
Holy Spirit emphasized four words in this section of scripture – measure, function, gifts, grace. We know from Eph. 4:7 that we are given grace according to the measure of our gift, and we minister our gifts through grace, according to 1 Pet. 4:10 Whatever your gift is, you have a measure of faith to move in it, to function so that the result comes forth that God intends. The measure is for the function.
It is not a measured allotment of amount according to the gift, but an allotment of specificity for the function. In other words, not needing greater faith for greater gifts in terms of ranking as we tend to think of it - more or less, one being better than another, or higher and lower. The measure is what is necessary for Christ to be made known through each of us operating in our gifts as a whole.
I like to bake, and Holy Spirit gave me the example of the specific amounts of ingredients required for a cake to be perfect in terms of taste, appearance, texture, etc. There is a ratio of butter, sugar, flour, flavoring, leavening and liquid necessary for each type of cake. A lemon cake has only a tiny amount of lemon juice necessary for the full flavor to be released, a large amount of flour does not mean the flour is the most important ingredient. Without the lemon juice the cake would be bland. A modification of the ingredients produces a different outcome – lemon pudding; lemon sherbet, lemon cookies. The correct amount of each depends on all the other components being utilized for the desired end result.
Holy Spirit reminded me of a key lesson that was revealed to me in my book, “Moses – Shocked in the Desert, Learning God’s Ways So We Can Enter the Promised Land.” Korah and his company were rebelling against their God-ordained work of tabernacle service. They wanted to be priests. Moses responded in this way:
“Seemeth it but] a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?" (Num. 16:9, KJV)
Did you catch the revelation in this verse? Whatever gifts or calling God ordains for your life is to bring you near to Himself in your serving! Nothing is small, for He is in it with you, to minister Himself through you in it!
UNLOCKING THE TREASURE
Holy Spirit reminded me of a dream I had some years ago that speaks profoundly to this truth. In my dream, I had a priceless treasure locked away behind a door. I had to go away and knew that I would have to give the key to someone to be able to open the door at the proper time. This treasure was so valuable that I could not entrust it to one person alone. I had to entrust it to seven people. I gave each of them a WORD and told them that all the words given would be necessary to obtain the code that would be the key to open the door, and that it was not to be a simple construction of a sentence with the seven words.
The only way for the code to be revealed would be the seven of them working together – in unity – but it could not be superficial unity. This unity could only come from each person recognizing and honoring the gift of God hidden within each person. The code would only be revealed by working together to seek out the hidden treasure within each, the meaning of each word, with all of them having a different piece of revelation. They would be required to see the whole, through the combination of the seven times the seven different layers of revelation for each word given. This would take time and commitment to persevere together to unfold the key and unlock the door.
I was immediately aware of the significance of the seven being completion, and of the truth of the body of Christ honoring one another; the need to work together as a whole (1 Cor. 12:12-27) and every joint supplying so that the body of Christ would be built up in exponential ways (Eph. 4:16). I sensed the Lord saying that this is key instruction for Kingdom manifestation in the earth. There are many that are not yet in position in the Kingdom, and there are many that are still in the world. The churches in the earth are at still at odds with each other in many respects, as well as the individuals with one another. There is a unity that must take place before the Kingdom can fully come.
"A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] For brethren to dwell together in unity! [It is] like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments." (Psa 133:1-2 NKJV)
As I pondered, I thought of the seven letters to the Churches in Revelation and the seven-fold spirit of the Lord. I asked the Lord for further understanding and sensed that there is much to be gained from recognizing that every member of the body of Christ (including those not yet born-again) carry a unique seed within of the spirit of the Living God, and each member also has weaknesses and strengths as those listed in the letters to the seven churches. We are to recognize that not one weakness is greater than another, and not one strength is less than another. Each has been given a measure of faith for the work that has been assigned, and the light within each of us is necessary for others to see. The full counsel of God can only come through every part bringing what the Lord has shown them.
I hear the Lord say, “This is the time, this is the hour, for the world to see my church in power. Yet there are many still lost and bound, seek them out that they be found. Look deeper and find the jewel within, look deeper than what seems their sin. All have fallen short of my glory, yet all are necessary for my story. I create beauty in each one; see them through the eyes of my Son. My children each supply a part for the whole, and the whole will increase as you extol each in their unique role. Do not be puffed up with pride, it cannot be in my pure Bride. All have been given a unique measure, and together become my priceless treasure. Recognize I am God alone, and I sit on the Heavenly Throne, yet My Spirit has been poured out on each one who carries the imprint of My Son. It is not for you to judge the hearts, go forth and find the missing parts.”
“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” (Eph. 4:16, KJV)
"And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” (Col. 1:18 NKJV)
There is treasure in the measure - how God has designed and ordained for the assembling and functioning of each part - and if we are to become the dwelling place of God in the Spirit (Eph. 2:19-22), how we need to rightly honor each one! It is easy and comfortable for prophets to hang around prophets, teachers with teachers, pastors with pastors, etc., but for the full function of the Body, all parts must be working together!
HEADSHIP
Holy Spirit began speaking to me about the body of Christ responding to Him as our human body relates to our brain. The brain instructs the human body, controlling basic autonomic body functions such as breathing, heart pressure and regulating body temperature. Our brains instruct the parts of the leg to move when we set our intention to do so. We are to be so one with Christ that our response is as autonomic as the response of our physical body to our brain. Jesus said that He only did what He saw the Father doing (Jn. 5:19), and spoke only what He heard the Father saying. He was One with the Father.
" Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works." (Jn. 14:10)
In Luke 9:58, Jesus said that He had nowhere to lay His head. According to Strong’s Concordance, the root of the word head means authority, or government. God desires His government in the earth. I heard, “My Kingdom is not of this world. I am going to prepare a place for you; will you prepare a place for me to rest my head – my headship, my government in you? Every battle will be won as we are joined as one.” For Kingdom government to come forth, it must first come forth in us – Jesus as the head of every part of our lives!
"And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God." (Col. 2:19 KJV)
ASSEMBLING FOR THE FULLNESS
I am hearing Him say, “I am assembling and I am positioning for the fullness of My Son to be known. I am sending an assembling anointing upon those that My Son has raised up for this hour; the foundation has been laid and I am releasing an anointing to build. Do not look for a building, or even a movement, to come forth from one place. There is an assembling of my sons and daughters that will not have a form that you can see by your natural eye. The assembling is a work of the Spirit and will be released by a many-membered Body as I send forth. This assembly cannot be numbered or measured, as the spiritual realm will coalesce with the natural as I send forth the angels to fulfill My Word. There is a warfare that takes place in the Spirit as you choose to move forward in the earth in unity one with another, with Christ as the head. The Body is being formed into my dwelling place in the spirit, and no foe can stand against the power of the risen Christ living and moving in the earth.”
"And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:" (Eph 3:9-11 KJV)
