BELIEVE TO SUCCEED? SOW YOUR SEED!
(PLEASE NOTE: This is not a request for you to sow into my ministry; this is an encouragement for you to sow when God has given you faith for a Word, and you want to seed into that good ground! Kingdom principles!)“And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” (2 Chron. 20:20, KJV) Some years ago, my husband and I received a word from a well-known prophet, “You will have success in business and in ministry.” The atmosphere was rich with the Spirit of God, pregnant with His Presence. In that environment of birthing, I knew that we needed to sow a seed. The result? Over the course of the next few years, my yearly income in the organization where I was working at that time catapulted. From the time I began to the time I retired (10 years), my income more than doubled and I started a non-profit that is still going strong. During this timeframe I also had a prophetic dream where God gave me the title of a book to write, then woke me in the wee hours of the morning over the 12-24 months to write the book, before going to work at my full-time job. That book was the start of my ministry. My point? “…Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” (2 Chron. 20:20, KJV) When you sow a seed in the natural, you believe you will reap a harvest or you wouldn’t bother to plant! If God told you that this season will be one of good rain, you’d plant a lot of seed! When you hear a prophetic word and your faith rises, it is time to activate your faith by sowing a seed with the full measure of faith that you have! In that instance, I sowed the biggest seed I had sown to that date, because I believed what the prophet spoke was a word from the Lord for me! The thing with sowing a seed is that seeds can continue to bear in perpetuity, when they are planted in good soil, the conditions are right for growth and care is given to water, and to pull the weeds. The harvest of one seed is many more seeds. Plant those and you reap an exponential result. In the same way, you will yield a harvest when you plant your seeds in good soil (your heart believes), keep it watered with faith and trust in God, and pull the weeds (unbelief and doubt being a few). God’s supply is limitless, and when we live by Kingdom principles (sowing and reaping being one), we receive Kingdom results! BELIEVE TO SUCCEED? SOW YOUR SEED!
