At the Glory of Zion Head of the Year 5778 Conference, apples were offered to the attendees. Eating apples dipped in honey is a popular tradition on Rosh Hashanah. As a woman was walking down the aisle with an apple on a plate, my sister heard a word from the Lord, “We are taking back the apple from Eve.”

This is a powerful word with great depth of meaning for the season we are entering. The year 5778 is a year to enter into new beginnings, through the door or gate. What are we entering into; what is the new beginning?

It is time to move into the fullness of what Jesus paid for at the cross. Timing is so important to God. Many have prophesied that it is time for the Church to walk in the authority that Christ has given us, to take dominion back from the devil!

Eve listened to the voice of the devil and was deceived into eating the apple from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, then Adam also ate. That act was the first act of man’s rebellion, whereby we gave dominion over to satan in the earth.

Jesus paid the price for our sin; we are now reconciled to God and to His purpose for our lives – reclaiming what belongs to God and to us! We now have oneness with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the glory. We lost our spiritual communion in the garden and the opportunity to eat from the tree of life. Adam and Eve were not told that they couldn’t eat from the tree of life, only the knowledge of good and evil, because we would have had eternal life in our sin nature! Now we have access to the tree of Life – through Jesus!

We know the devil will continue to tempt us every day. What are his tactics? Eve was tempted by doubting God’s word. Satan perverted what God said and tempted Eve to eat through the “world’s” way of thinking – the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life.

For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. [1Jo 2:16 KJV]

And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food (lust of the flesh), and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes (lust of the eyes), and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise (pride of life), she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. [Gen 3:6 KJV]

What did she eat? The fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In this instance, the word “knowledge” in Strong’s Concordance means to ascertain by seeing.  “Seeing,” as opposed to trusting God and listening to His voice, being one with Him; seeing “good” and “evil” as opposed to innocently living in trust and reliance on Him.

We were made “in His image.” God is creative, and gave us creative ability. What are we creating? Good or evil? Having eaten of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we now “see” and have to choose. We are now in the fight between good and evil.

Prior to the fall, we lived in goodness only. Until we chose to believe the words of satan over God’s words, we were in full communion and complete fellowship with the Godhead. God didn’t say we couldn’t eat from the tree of life prior to the fall. It was barred from us as we sinned. Now we have access to the tree of life through Jesus! We now have the Spirit of Christ in us and His mind!

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. [1Co 2:16 KJV]

We have direct access to the Father through Christ, and are positionally seated with Him in heavenly places, at the right hand of God (symbolizing authority)!

Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: [Eph. 1:3, KJV]

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], [Eph 1:20 KJV]

And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: [Eph 2:6 KJV]

Why? To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, [Eph 3:10 KJV]

We are in a battle, and we make known to the principalities and powers God’s wisdom – wisdom gleaned from the tree of life – not from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil! Jesus has overcome every temptation, and empowers us to do the same!

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. [Jhn 16:33 KJV]

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. [1Jo 4:4 KJV]

Jesus promises this for the overcomers: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. [Rev 2:7 KJV]

Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. [Rev 22:14 KJV]

WE ARE TAKING BACK THE APPLE FROM EVE – we refuse to listen to the lies of the enemy and declare that God is true and there is no unrighteousness in Him. We declare that the earth belongs to the Lord, all the fullness thereof, and that we are ambassadors of His Kingdom. We reclaim dominion every moment when we see the choice before us. Decree increase in discernment, increase in boldness and authority in who God has created us to be – to walk IN HIS IMAGE and LIKENESS. We declare that we have the mind of Christ, we declare that we refuse to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and we now choose to eat from the tree of life – through JESUS – and bring His dominion to the earth!
