I AM FANNING THE FLAMES OF PRAYER ALTARS AND BRINGING INCREASE TO THE LAND!

During worship at an intercessory prayer gathering recently, I had a vision of a city at night. Then I saw some of the houses with what looked like containers of fire burning in the middle of the house. Next, sparks began flying from the houses and spreading over the city. I heard the Lord say, “My house shall be called a house of prayer. I am fanning the flames of prayer altars in homes. From these home prayer altars, my wind will send sparks throughout the region. These sparks will begin to ignite a hunger in the souls of those who have filled their lives with other things. Those other things will no longer satisfy and the hunger will grow, and they will begin to cry out for Me. I will answer and fill them with a strong awareness of My Presence that they cannot deny and that no other source will satisfy. My heart will begin to burn within you in greater measure for the harvest. Your prayers will have greater authority in the spirit realm, and you will be sent forth to encounter to those with hunger in their eyes on the streets, at work, in stores, throughout the places of your travels. You will pour into them what I pour into you, and fires of revival will be birthed and spread throughout the land.”

I shared what I saw, and prophesied what I heard, in the prayer gathering. We all began to smell smoke in the room, but there was not a fire burning in the house. The man hosting the gathering went outdoors to see it was coming from somewhere else in the neighborhood, but there was no smell of smoke outdoors.

I bore witness by the Spirit that it was a manifestation as confirmation from the Lord that this was His word, and that He is bringing an increase to faith as we act in obedience to build prayer altars in homes. In many regions, there are corporate prayer gatherings, but I hear the Lord saying that He is breathing fresh fire on home prayer altars. There will be many supernatural signs that will be manifest from these prayer altars.

“And David built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called on the LORD; and He answered him from heaven by fire on the altar of burnt offering.” (1 Chronicles 21:26 NKJV)

The Lord wants His people to gather by faith in their homes and break out of routines, rote agendas and formula-led prayers into the freshness of His leading by the Holy Spirit. This is a new season and the Lord wants to do a new thing; we cannot rely on yesterday’s way of doing things to bring something new! There will be a great multiplication of your faith by this act of daily sacrifice unto obedience.

I hear the Lord saying do this and trust Him with the increase. His heart is grieved that there are still so many who only want “leaders” to tell them what to do, and not seek His face and hear Him for themselves. Holy Spirit is even now drawing you closer, you feel a stirring within you to build an altar and see what He will do in your midst! Be the bold one and take the step forward; invite others and see how God moves among you!

Many of you already have dedicated prayer times; it is time for increase. We are in a new season and the old has passed away. It is time to re-dedicate ourselves to prayer in our homes, not just the corporate gatherings. Our prayers arise as incense before the throne of God, and there is a response from heaven as we dedicate ourselves to prayer.

“Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” (Revelation 5:8 NKJV)

“Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.” (Revelation 8:3-5 NKJV)

In 1981, I was unsaved and living in gross darkness. I received a supernatural visitation from the Lord, and in one night experienced repentance, salvation, healing and deliverance! How did this happen? My mother and father were praying on their prayer altar. I was 3,000 miles away! Holy Spirit entered the room and in an instance my life was forever altered. From your prayer altars, many lives will be altered! As we seek the Lord in obedience and follow His leading in prayer, the souls of those that are ordained to come forth in this season will experience a drawing and hunger, and supernatural revelation of the reality of the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not despise small beginnings; for where two or more are gathered in His Name, Jesus is in the midst (Zech. 4:10; Matt. 18:20). Prodigals are coming home; the harvest is ripe and laborers are being sent out!

Jesus said He came to send fire on the earth, and that He wished it were already kindled (Lk. 12:49). He quoted the prophet Isaiah when He said His house shall be called a house of prayer.

“Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.” (Isaiah 56:7 KJV)

I hear the Lord saying that He is fanning the flames of our prayer altars because He wants His love in us to burn hotter, consuming all that holds us back from Christ being fully formed in us and released to break the bonds of wickedness, set the captives free and bring forth the nations for His inheritance. There is a continuance in prayer that is required – standing firm in faith that what He has promised will come forth.  Those things that are seemingly distant and far off, shall come forth in an instant!

I hear the Lord saying that prayer – our consecrated sacrifice of time (putting to death our fleshly desires that are at enmity against His Spirit) – for the prize of true relationship/Oneness with Him, brings the birthing of the promises…the fruit that is our reward for planting the seeds of faith in the womb of obedience.

By faith Abraham obeyed (Heb. 11:8, 17-18). He first went out on God’s word without knowing where he was going, leaving everything familiar. When he received the promised son Isaac, he was obedient when God told him to offer him up, and received the greater fulfillment of the blessing.

“Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?” (James 2:21-22 NKJV)

Faith without works is dead. By our works (obedience to what God tells us) our faith is made perfect, or complete, i.e. brings forth to birth what God desires. We cannot complete in the flesh what was begun in the Spirit. We have to move forward in cadence with the Holy Spirit bringing us fresh revelation and strategies to bring forth the Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. We cannot rely on our own understanding, our formulas and natural reasoning, our agendas from what worked yesterday. It is time to move into the new day in the power and leading of Holy Spirit, birthed out of the intimacy of prayer in His Presence.

There has been great warfare against the release of this word. Even as my husband and I determined to strengthen our prayer altar, and establish the new for the fresh wind to come, war broke out. Let me encourage you; as we were diligent to be obedient and pressed through the discomfort of transitioning, over a short 10 days we began to see increase of authority and many breakthroughs into new ground for ourselves and for those He has brought into our path for ministry. Demonic strongholds have been broken and captives are being delivered;  the wind of Holy Spirit is fanning the flames and consuming all that is not of Him!

I clearly saw the vision, heard His word and it was confirmed with a supernatural sign. Yet it wasn’t enough to just believe, there had to be action of obedience. The Lord keeps bringing to my mind a picture of a family from long ago, before radio and television, sitting together in the evening by candlelight, reading the Word of God and praying together.  I am hearing His heart, weeping over His people, as we are given over to great distraction and busy-ness. Jesus wept over Jerusalem, for they did not know the hour of their visitation (Lk. 19:41-44). I have rarely felt such a strong hand of the Lord on a word that He gives me. God is faithful to fulfill His word as we step out in obedience! There is a strong move of God ready to burst forth; as we build/rebuild prayer altars in our homes, putting ourselves on the altar as sacrifices before Him, He will fan those the flames and bring forth the increase!

“Yes,” said Jesus. “But God will bless all who listen to the word of God and carefully obey everything they hear.” (Lk. 11:28, the Passion Translation)
