Allow the Holy Spirit to Transition Your Destiny!

Some years ago I had a profound dream that I know was from the Lord – it was very surreal and prophetic. He has been impressing upon me to share it again, as it will help many who are in transition. The dream had five distinct segments, each revealing transitions in the journey of fulfilling our destiny, being led by the Holy Spirit.

THE DREAM

The first part of the dream was black and white. I was on a mountain, crouching against bare boulders.  I didn’t realize how high I was until airplanes began flying next to me. They were solid gray and looked like fighter planes. They kept coming closer, one after another, until they were nearly brushing me. The noise and wind from the planes was intense. I realized I was holding a baby, and it seemed the planes were trying to attack us. In the dream, I was aware that it was a situation where I could go into fear, but I was not afraid; I knew I was protected. I began looking for the way of escape. I turned and faced what seemed to be a wall of boulders.

As I looked closely, I saw a weather-beaten door. It was almost like an optical illusion of a small shed blending into the boulders. The wood was as gray and textured as the rocks; (a person not looking for or expectinga way of escape would have missed it. I opened the door and saw a dark stairway descending to a basement. The walls were earthen and the steps were worn and unpainted. I descended down the stairs to another door.

I opened the door to a brightly illuminated room of pure white. The left side of the room was furnished with a sink and toilet. On the right, there was what seemed a window in the floor – a rectangular frame of white wood encompassing the most beautiful shade of azure blue water I have ever seen. It was very surreal; I felt a strong allure to jump in and swim into another realm. My senses were very alert; I was strongly protective of the baby. I looked closer and saw that what seemed water was a thick, gel-like substance that could be a toxic chemical. In the dream I discerned it was an illusion meant to intrigue and lead into danger. I turned and saw an open wall into space with paving stones that seemed to be floating. I had no fear and walked forward.

Immediately I was in a house with many rooms. The colors were subdued earth tones, the lighting dim and shadowy.  Each room was filled with people that I knew from ministries I had been involved with in recent years. They were all engaged in quiet conversation and minimal activity. These were people I could relate to and had ministered with, but none of these relationships were intimate or deep. I felt a need to change my clothes, but  every room was full. I sensed I did not belong there and knew it was time to move on.

Immediately I was in another location, and no longer carrying the baby. I was outdoors, on a sidewalk; it was dusk, but the colors were vibrant and there was a palpable excitement in the air. There were a lot of people engaging with each other in an animated fashion. I also was, although I did not know any of them. As I was talking, I realized I was standing next to a bicycle and knew it was mine. I wondered why it was there and how I would get it home, as there would have to be a vehicle large enough to carry it. I thought about riding it home, but knew it was too far and not what was supposed to happen. I was certain that all would be made clear when necessary.  I woke up. I immediately heard, “You have to leave the bicycle behind.”

THE INTERPRETATION

PART ONE – THE WAR AGAINST DESTINY; FAITH IS NECESSARY TO ADVANCE  

I nearly always dream in color. Whenever I dream in black and white, it represents very clear opposites – in this case, faith versus fear. The baby represents what we have birthed, or what we are carrying to be birthed, for the Kingdom, our destiny! There are seeds of destiny that God has placed in you, brought to life by His Spirit – things ordained before the world was formed. It is time they come forth!

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Eph 2:10 KJV)

There will be enemy attacks. Guard what you are carrying at all cost!  It is a necessary part of the Kingdom of God in the earth! There is a war over our destiny and we will encounter many obstacles along the way.  Warfare trains us as we trust God is with us in every situation. Don’t be condemned if you fail the faith test; God will give you another opportunity. He wants you to fulfill your destiny. He won’t let you move on to the next level until you pass the test.

Know that you are protected (Ps. 91), and no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper (Is. 54:17)! Let faith arise! I heard by Holy Spirit, “Trust Me in the war and you will see the door. Know that I am always near; do not be tempted to react in fear. In faith the way of escape becomes clear.”

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” (1 Cor. 10:13 NKJV)

PART TWO – DESCENDING INTO DARKNESS FOR DELIVERANCE AND HEALING

Growing up, every place I lived had dirt basements. They were dark, fearful places with spiders, rats and snakes. For many (myself included), basements represent places where deep wounding occurred – physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual attacks. I sense by the Holy Spirit that the basement represents places of darkness in us – known or hidden – strongholds keeping us captive. These can be hidden fears, dark secrets, trauma; places where the Lord desires to bring His light to deliver and heal us so we can fulfill our destiny.

I heard, “You can descend into darkness when you know I am with you. Trust Me, I am leading you to deliver you and heal you. It will seem you are descending as I show you the darkness in your soul; let My healing cleanse you and I will make you whole.”

“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” (Deut. 31:8 KJV)

PART THREE – PURITY IS REQUIRED FOR CLEAR AND ACCURATE DISCERNMENT 

The pure white room symbolizes purity. The sink and toilet represent washing, cleansing and elimination of all that is filthy and harmful. We must realize and guard the purity of what we are carrying, realizing that God, who is holy, has birthed something in us and desires it brought to full maturity.

The window in the floor that seemed filled with azure blue water but was a thick gel, represents the alluring deception the enemy brings in the form of a desire for spiritual encounters outside of Christ alone. The Lord will take us on spiritual journeys, but to seek the experience outside of Him is going through another door. Holy Spirit will take us through the process of purification so that we can accurately discern between the true and the false and be pure vessels carrying the light of His glory!  

I heard Him say, “I am grieved that many of my children are being led astray by what the enemy brings their way. His disguises are many, enticing flesh and soul; selflessness and purity he will never extol; destruction and death his ultimate goal. Purity of heart is what I require; let My refining fire purify your heart’s desire. Trust Me in the dark; your way will be made light. You will receive, by My Spirit, purity of sight.”

“O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge– by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.” (1 Tim. 6:20-21 NKJV)

“Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” (2 Cor. 11:1-3 KJV)

PART FOUR – MOVE BEYOND PLACES OF FAMILIARITY AND COMFORT

There was a stark difference in color and tone from the previous segment. I sensed this represented a place of not being rightly aligned – there was no life, and all was dull and subdued. When we settle for the familiar, there is no growth! Fall colors represent things that are dying – dead works, the usual way of doing things; trying to fit in when you are being called to advance. Feeling a need to change my clothes shows a choice – try to be like everyone else or realize it is time to put on the new mantle and go forward.

As I sought the Lord further, I heard Him say, “I have fashioned you for a perfect fit; move forward. You will be fitly joined, in alignment for furtherance of the Kingdom. Some are in position and bringing forth fruit, but there are many unsettled and searching, hungering for more, yet fearful as they do not see what is in store. I say, “I am the Door; follow Me. I am calling you forth into the new. Much will be entrusted to you as you continue looking to Me, for I am faithful and true. Your separation is part of the preparation.”

“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” (Heb. 11:8 KJV)

PART FIVE – IN THE UNKNOWN YOU WILL FIND YOUR OWN; MY PRESENCE IS ALL YOU NEED

It was dusk; the colors and atmosphere vibrant and rich. Biblically, the new day begins at dusk. Being fully engaged and exuberantly joyful confirms that this represents the new day – walking in newness of life; perfectly aligned, fitted and moving in faith to release all that God has put within us. I believe that the baby not being in this segment signifies full maturity has been reached.

The phrase, “You have to leave the bicycle behind,” represents the past way of doing things. When I was much younger, proud of being self-reliant, I often rode my bicycle to work. Transportation also represents ministry. I believe the Lord is saying we can no longer rely on the past ways of doing things. He is speaking to those who will take courage and be willing to leave behind familiar ways of doing things and rely on His leading moment-by-moment. It’s a new day and the old ways won’t get us to the new places God has for us.

I didn’t speak until the last section of the dream, where everyone was full of life interacting with one another. Proper alignment and God’s timing brings freedom of expression through right-fitting connections. The Body of Christ is voice activated! Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God! (Rom. 10:17) When the Spirit of God says, “Now speak,” and we obey, others will be activated into their purpose!

 I heard by the Spirit of the Lord, “Moment by moment, abide in Me, from My presence do not flee. All will come forth as meant to be. I have ordained for you to be free – free from fears, doubts and worries of life; those things that cause you trouble and strife. Lay hold of Me, and of My peace; turn fully to Me and release every care upon your heart. A new measure of grace I will impart.  You do not need to know when or how. Position your heart; choose to bow, and you see My resources called forth now. 

I am bringing you into life so pure, your discernment will be certain and sure. I will reveal what heretofore was hidden; it was not necessary to see until you were bidden. Now move forward, walk into the new; I AM the way in which to come through. In the moment is where I am found, here I will be your solid ground. In Me alone your true voice is found; speak from Me and life will abound. Will you walk through the door into the unknown, entrusting your life to Me alone? Will you walk in My ways, let Me order your days, let Me receive all honor and praise? Will you step away from your dreams and plans, eyes on Me, no backward glance? Move with Me into the new. It will feel unfamiliar, yet true; your calling and destiny will unfold unto you.”
